Summary of Three ICT Tools: Informative, Communicative, and Constructive Tools
In this presentation, I have explored three types of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools: informative, communicative, and constructive. Each tool plays a unique role in enhancing the teaching and learning experience.
For informative tools, I included both a photo and a video. The photo shows the use of National Geographic Kids as an engaging platform for learning. It provides learners with access to a wide range of educational content, including articles, videos, and fun facts about science, geography, and animals. This tool helps students gain knowledge independently and supports curiosity-driven learning. Additionally, I have included a video about the sacred places in Bhutan. This video serves as a powerful informative tool, offering cultural and spiritual insights in a visually engaging way. I would kindly like to request Madam to assess this video, as I believe it effectively demonstrates how informative ICT tools can enhance students’ understanding of cultural heritage.
For the communicative tool, I used a screenshot of our group discussion conducted through Google Docs. This tool allows students to collaborate in real-time, share ideas, and edit each other’s work. It promotes teamwork, effective communication, and peer learning. Through this platform, students are encouraged to express their thoughts clearly and respectfully, building important communication skills that are essential both in and out of the classroom.
Lastly, for the constructive tool, I included two photos of students using Padlet. Padlet is an interactive tool that allows students to create and organize content visually. In these photos, students are seen sharing their ideas on a digital board, which encourages creativity and deeper thinking. They can post images, texts, and links, and also comment on each other’s posts. This helps them build knowledge collaboratively and reflect on their learning.
In conclusion, these three ICT tools—informative, communicative, and constructive—support different aspects of learning. When used together, they create a rich, interactive, and engaging educational environment.
