Summary of Three ICT Tools: Informative, Communicative, and Constructive Tools In this presentation, I have explored three types of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools: informative, communicative, and constructive. Each tool plays a unique role in enhancing the teaching and learning experience. For informative tools , I included both a photo and a video. The photo shows the use of National Geographic Kids as an engaging platform for learning. It provides learners with access to a wide range of educational content, including articles, videos, and fun facts about science, geography, and animals. This tool helps students gain knowledge independently and supports curiosity-driven learning. Additionally, I have included a video about the sacred places in Bhutan. This video serves as a powerful informative tool, offering cultural and spiritual insights in a visually engaging way. I would kindly like to request Madam to assess this video, as I believe it effectively demons...

Informative Tools

Informative Tools In today’s digital age, I find that informative tools such as educational websites, digital, and interactive e-books have become increasingly important in enhancing teaching and learning in primary classrooms. These tools serve as valuable resources that help me present information in a visually engaging way. One of the key strengths I appreciate about informative tools is their ability to simplify complex information. For example, platforms like Khan Academy and National Geographic Kids use colorful visuals, interactive animations, and simple language, which make it easier for my young learners to understand new concepts. When teaching science topics like the solar system or plant life, videos and interactive diagrams from these tools to help us to visualize ab...

Constructive Tools

R eflection on the Use of Constructive ICT Tools I have come to recognize the powerful role that constructive ICT tools play in promoting active, participatory learning. Unlike traditional resources that often position students as passive consumers of information, constructive tools allow learners to create, collaborate, and interact with content in meaningful ways. One tool I find particularly applicable is Padlet—a digital platform that supports collaborative thinking and creativity.  Padlet can be used in English classroom to design a collaborative storytelling activity where students contribute sentences, images, and multimedia elements, each learner becomes an active participant in building the story. I believe this not only enhances literacy skills but also develops essential 21st-century competencies such as digital collaboration, creativity, and communication. This approach aligns with Vygotsky’s social constructivist theory, which underscores the importance of learnin...

Communicative Tools

Communicative Tools  In today’s evolving educational landscape, I have found communicative tools to be essential for promoting interaction, engagement, and collaboration between students and teachers. Platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Docs have transformed the way I connect with others, whether in-person or in remote learning environments. These tools enable real-time communication, foster collaborative discussions, and help build a sense of classroom community, regardless of physical location. A recent experience that highlighted the value of these tools for me was a group project where my peers and I developed a lesson plan for primary students. We used Google Docs to collaborate on the task, allowing us to edit the same document simultaneously. The in-document chat and commenting features helped us share ideas, provide instant feedback, and divide responsibilities efficiently. For example, one team member focused on learning objectives, another on teaching m...
